The first stage is showing events on my schedule before we add the calendar view. https://roadmap.branchis.com/p/calendar-events-on-my-schedule-S6J0TY

I'm eagerly awaiting this feature to start using BranchIS as my primary task manager. Any idea when development will start? Thanks!

Hello Ana,
We plan to release this feature this year after the first commitment of project budgeting.

@Martin Lonsky | BranchIS:

Hi Martin, thank you for the update. 1 thing that's making branchis unusable for me now is that Calendar events from external sources don't show in my schedule. Can you please confirm that the upcoming Calendar view will not have this issue upon release?

@Ana: This feature also adds the possibility to work on events from calendars, make conversations on them, etc.. So that will be shown in kanban and in calendar view as well.

What about to start with two-way integration of google/outlook calendar for events, so that at least events from branchis would show in google calender?

Definitely, we have intentions to allow the default calendar selection, which can be used automatically (if not changed) for BranchIS events.

This is probably a closely connected change to this feature.

I would also really love this feature. That would help with scheduling software like Calendly if it's available times could be dynamically impacted by BranchIS scheduling.

πŸ™ Yes, yes, yes!!!! I really need this at the individual user level. I'd like a better view of the week than the Gantt chart. I would like to see the whole week as a calendar.

A calendar and a Gantt chart are two different ways of visualising and planning the time and activities of a project. While a calendar focuses on time periods and deadlines, a Gantt chart allows you to visualise the relationships between tasks and their planned completion.

A calendar is an easy way to visualise project time periods. The calendar displays the days of the week and allows you to mark days and time periods for each task. The calendar also allows you to view days off, weekends and holidays. Because the calendar only displays deadlines, you cannot see the relationships between tasks and their scheduled completion on the calendar.

A Gantt chart is a project plan visualisation tool that shows the relationships between tasks and their scheduled completion. A Gantt chart consists of a horizontal axis showing the project time periods and a vertical axis showing the tasks. In a Gantt chart, tasks are shown as bars that intersect on the axes. These bars show the planned duration of each task and the relationships between tasks, such as dependencies and constraints.

The main difference between a calendar and a Gantt chart is that a calendar focuses on time periods and deadlines, whereas a Gantt chart allows you to visualise the relationships between tasks and their planned completion. The calendar is useful for simple projects with simple planning, while the Gantt chart is useful for more complex projects that require more planning and organisation.

Agree. The primary focus here is on the visualization of personal agendas with two-way sync on connected calendars. To see everything together.

My Schedule Kanban is good, but the calendar view gives me more friendly information about my time in days.
